BEST Services delivers complete lightning protection and related services. This includes surge protection to meet modern business demands, cost-effective, high-performance and safe earthing solutions and steeplejack services for all kinds of structures.
Our approach is to provide our customers with the BEST level of service from initial enquiry to completion then ongoing through our maintenance services. We directly employ over 160 people throughout the UK. However, despite our size, we still offer a friendly, personalised service that you would expect from a family run business.
We have held ISO 9001 certification for over 18 years and we are continually developing our processes and procedures. In March 2017 we obtained ISO 9001:2015 for Quality, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental and BS OHSAS 45001:2007 for Health & Safety for our Earthing, Lightning Protection and Steeplejack Services. In addition, we have numerous Health and Safety accreditations including Achilles, Safe Contractor and CHAS.
We work in accordance with the ATLAS and UCATT Working Rule Agreement and commit to a minimum level of training to meet the ATLAS Criteria for Membership.

Safety is at the heart of BEST; we provide extensive training to all employees, invest in modern equipment and develop modern methods of working to ensure all our works are carried out safely and in accordance with British and European Standards.
We believe it is important to invest in our employees, we promote continued training at all levels within the company from specialist day courses to NVQ’s and Degrees. We have excellent retention of staff with 10 team members achieving over 20 years of service and a further 30 with over 12 years of service.

Surge Protection
Our dedicated team is able to provide technical support in the design and installation of the Surge Protection Measures in order to reliably, safely and substantially reduce the risk of loss of life, damage and permanent failure of electrical/electronic equipment.
Specialist Earthing
We are extensively experienced and qualified in delivering cost effective, high performance and safe earthing solutions. Our earthing expertise and solutions have been delivered to many applications including renewables, HV / LV and generator earthing and telecommunication earthing systems to latest standards.
Steeplejack Services
Our team of at-height specialists are IRATA-trained and routinely use rope access, as well as a range of other techniques, to perform maintenance and repair work. This means no matter to what kind of tall structure we are asked to work on, we can ensure it remains in first class operational order.
